"Why I Started the Podcast
Honestly, the podcast started as a random idea. A friend once told me, “You should host a podcast.” I laughed. I didn’t think I had the skills — I wasn’t a journalist or a broadcaster. I had no clue how to interview, edit, or even set up a mic.
But something about the idea stayed with me.
One day, a woman liked one of my posts on social media. I noticed she had just published a book, and on impulse, I messaged her:
“I’m starting a podcast — would you like to be my first guest?”
To my surprise, she said yes.
That was the beginning of The Youth Sports Parenting Tribe.
In just a couple of weeks, I had to figure out how to record, prepare questions, run an interview, and read her book. It was a leap into the unknown, but it turned into one of the most meaningful journeys of my life.
Since then, I’ve had the privilege of learning from every guest — Olympic coaches, Grand Slam champions, sports psychologists, and everyday parents navigating the same struggles we all face. I've interviewed legendary names like:
Each guest brings something unique — a story, a lesson, a mindset shift. And with every conversation, I grow. I have become a better father, a more aware listener, and a more grounded human being.
That’s what I want to share with other parents. In every episode, there’s at least one golden nugget — something real and useful, whether it’s from a world-class coach or a parent who’s still figuring things out.
I started this podcast with zero experience, driven by curiosity and a desire to help. Today, The Youth Sports Parenting Tribe is a space for parents who want to do it differently — with empathy, awareness, and intention.
It wasn’t planned. But it became precisely what I needed.
And maybe, just maybe, it’s what you need, too."
